activecommunity2Active Community and Quality of Life

compassFraserburgh and Peterhead have been named as the best coastal towns for quality of life and affordability in the Halifax Seaside Town Quality of Life review. Fraserburgh hosts a vibrant community of clubs and societies and has an active sports scene the envy of many in the north east of Scotland. From kite surfing to martial arts and highland dancing, the existing offer has recently been enhanced by the development of a £9million six lane championship swimming pool and leisure complex funded through Aberdeenshire Council’s capital plan with additional investment from Sports Scotland and the local community. Amateur dramatics features prominently too with Fraserburgh Junior arts celebrating their 60th anniversary this year.

From old to new…

activecommunity3Fraserburgh Golf Club is the 7th oldest links course in the world and is still enjoyed by young and old. The beach area hosts the only full time kite surfing school in Scotland and with one of the highest qualified international instructors is sure to raise the pulse of sports enthusiasts. Fraserburgh Development Trust has secured Sports Hub status for the town which should see the wide variety of sports facilities deepen with improved coaching facilities.

Fraserburgh Academy is committed to The Schools of Ambition programme which is an ambitious and far reaching programme that has enabled it to become recognised as a school at the centre of its community where values that prepare young people to become valued members of their community are developed. This has involved pupils participating in exciting new leadership training which has then driven other projects and enterprises, building a resilient and adaptable workforce of the future.

Property prices are below the regional average in Fraserburgh, making it a much more affordable proposition for doing business and living.
