Ship Repair FacilitiesExcellent support services are available and cover the full range of facilities demanded by a modern fishing fleet, including engineering, coded welding, painting, shotblasting, etc, together with the specialised trades of electrical engineering, navigation services, refrigeration, steel and aluminium fabrication. ShipliftA state of the art six berth Shiplift repair facility, the first such commercial venture of its kind to be provided in the UK, was opened in September 2000 and is capable of accommodating vessels of up to 33 metres in length with a beam of 12 metres and 850 tonnes in weight. The facility provides flexibility in handling a wide range of vessels for long tem refits as wellas routine overhauls and minor repairs.
The Dry Dock was completed in 1992 and is one of the most modern facilities in the UK, offering a working area of 66m x 14m with labour and time saving hydraulic operative bilge supports.
