Excellent support services are available and cover the full range of facilities demanded by a modern fishing fleet, including engineering, coded welding, painting etc together with the specialised trades of electrical engineering, navigational services, refrigeration, steel and aluminium fabrication. In the provisions of these facilities care has been taken to ensure that as much modern technology as possible is incorporated to speed the access of vessels onto the facility and also permit traders engaged in servicing vessels to work in a safe environment

The shiplift was completed in 2000 and is one of the most up to date facilities of its kind in Europe and is capable of lifting vessels up to 850 tonnes in weight, 38 metres in length and will provide berths for six vessels. It is intended that one berth be used for long term refits such as major steel plating and wood planking also lengthening and re-engineering of vessels
